This disk contains Windows 95 and 98 printer drivers for the STAR Special Products SP298, SCP700, DP8340, SP200, SP300, TSP200, TSP200J, TSP300, TSP400 and TSP552 series. ************** HINTS and TIPS ************** The TSP412/442 must be switched to Line Mode.(FOR WINDOWS OR DOS) The TSP4xx driver supports Data Pool Mode. TSP400 barcode printing. The barcode is not printed, when the barcode length exceeds the maximum page width or when unprintable characters are included. TSP400 and Star Customer Display SCD-400 or SP300 and Star Customer Display SCD-400 When you select the driver TSP4xx + SCD-400 or SP3xx + SCD-400, it is possible to print on the display. You must select the font 'Display upper line' or 'Display lower line' in the font selection box of your application. The SP212/216 with parallel Interface must be switched to EC character set. DIP switch 7: ON DIP switch 8: OFF The unprintable margins are 0.5 cm on both sides. The DP8340 with parallel Interface must be switched to IBM character set#2 DIP switch 1: ON DIP switch 2: OFF The unprintable margins are 1.4 cm on both sides. On the SP2x6 and the DP8340 series, when you select the italic font. The printer prints red color instead of italic. Three different kind of papers are available -------------------------------------------- Receipt: Paper length changes according to the print data Ticket: Paper length stays fixed as it is set up in the page setting dialog box. Make the margins as close to zero as possible and set the page width to the size of the paper. Also in the printer driver, set the unprintable areas all to zero. This is for any Windows program.
