POWER program.
2. <OBSOLETE>There are several NEW data files that are needed to
complete your install. During installation they will
be copied onto your desktop, please move them into
your original Power installation folder. If you are
installing for a network, these files only need to be
copied into the Power folder once. They may be deleted
from the desktop of other machines<OBSOLETE>
2.
<NEW>The new datafiles needed in Power POS have been
added to a companion install that automatically starts
at the end of the Beta install. Please make certain
that you select the location of your original Power
POS (DOS version). This is usually C:\power or C:\retailpow
if it on a single computer and if networked might be
on P:\power. If you do not know where they are, just
right click on your Power or Retail Power Manager
icon, select "Properties" and find either the
"shortcut" or the "program" tab and locate either the
"start in" or "working" label. This is the location of
the data files.<NEW>
3. Once the installation is complete you must:
A. Go to "System Setup", "Setup", "Data file Pointer"
And if you have the Retail Power POS screen
B. Go to "System Setup", "Setup", "Retail POS Pointer"
4. You will now be able to use EITHER the New Beta
program or the old DOS program to access and
manipulate your data. |
